PROGRAMME OF THE CHRISTMAS CRUISE IN THE VENETIAN LAGOON

1ST DAY : VENICE
Arrival in Venice by yourself.
You board around 6 pm at the San Basilio Quay (Santa Marta Vaporetto station) and set sail to the
Sette Martiri Quay, river ship mooring point for the night. After settling into your cabins, you are introduced
to the crew over a welcome cocktail in the lounge before you have dinner in the on-board restaurant.
After dinner the evening is free to explore Venice at your own pace.
Overnight stay on board.

2ND DAY: VENICE - CHIOGGIA - VENICE
Breakfast on board and relax during the cruise through the magnificent Venice Lagoon to Chioggia,
where you arrive mid morning. Free time to explore Chioggia before returning on board for lunch.
This afternoon, you could have an optional guided visit of Padua, the main setting for Shakespeare’s
The Taming of the Shrew and probably one of the most important artistic towns in Italy.
Many painters, architects and sculptors have left their mark on the town. After the visit of the famous
“Santo” Basilica dedicated to Saint Anthony, you have a short walking tour of the town which gives you
an insight into the history of this charming town.
You head back by coach to Venice at the end of the afternoon, where you rejoin the river ship, which
made the cruise back to your mooring point in Venice during your excursion.
After dinner on board the evening is free in Venice. The river ship moors for the night in Venice.

3rd DAY: VENICE - BURANO - MURANO - VENICE
After breakfast on board, you have either free time in Venice or you set off for the optional excursion
by private boat to visit the islands in the Venetian Lagoon: Burano, famous for its lacework
and Murano, home of Venice’s glassmaking industry since the late 13th century and a beautiful
little island to visit.
Return on board for lunch.
This afternoon you can take part to the optional guided visit of the Doge’s Palace and
St Mark’s Square, Venice’s only true piazza. You also see the exterior of the famous awe-inspiring
St. Mark’s basilica, one of the most beautiful in the world, with its Byzantine-style facades.
Christmas Eve dinner served in the on-board restaurant while the river ship is moored in
the Venetian Lagoon followed by special Christmas Eve celebrations.
As the river ship is moored for the night in Venice, you have the option of attending Midnight Mass
in Venice at St Mark’s Basilica (subject to availability). You return on board and on board staff
receive you serving you a glass of mulled wine. Overnight, you receive a visit from Father Christmas.

4th DAY: VENICE
You have breakfast and lunch on board today, and can take full advantage of this relaxing day at
leisure to discover Venice at your own pace. Venice is a town of legend, built in the 5th century
and today a dream of a city with an enchanting mosaic of 118 islands stitched together by more than
400 bridges. Venice became a great maritime power in the 10th century and is an
extraordinary architectural masterpiece. The Gala dinner on board is followed by an evening of
dancing and entertainment. Moor for the night again in Venice.

5th DAY: VENICE
After breakfast on board, you disembark at the main passenger terminal in Venice.

THE CRUISE PRICE INCLUDES: cruise on a full board basis from the dinner on Day 1 to the breakfast on Day 5, accommodation on board ship in twin/double cabin with en-suite facilities, a Christmas Present, Christams Eve meal on board the ship in the Venetian Lagoon with drinks included, welcome cocktail, the Gala evening, the services of our hostess on board, entertainment on board, insurance covering emergency aid and repatriation, all port taxes.

Individual booking process
1. Request from the client by format, e-mail, fax or phone
2. Delay of answer: maximum 1 day
3. Option validity (sending date + 4days) given from PORIVERTRAVEL.IT to the client
4. The client confirms if cruise is booked, by sending e-mail or fax
(within the option delay)
5. The client must send to PORIVERTRAVEL.IT the participants’ data,
name, surname, address, tax code, valid telephone number, (participants’
age for possible discounts), identity card data (card number, expiry date
and issue country)
6. The confirmation is valid only on receipt of the 30% deposit to be paid in
the 5 days following the sending of contract/invoice
7. Only the reception of the deposit will confirm the reservation of the cabin
8. Settlement is due at least 25 days before the departure
9. Sending of boarding documents by e-mail on receipt of the settlement.

Payment and booking condition
Payment
Deposit of 30% to be paid by bank transfer in the 5 days following the
sending of contract/invoice (send a bank transfer copy at the
fax number 0039 0522 739019 PORIVERTRAVEL.IT).
Settlement of the cruise by bank transfer at least 25 days before the departure date.
The payment will be executed by bank transfer using authorization document.
The voucher (Boarding document) will be send as soon as possible by e-mail
and only when settlement is done.
N.B.: Payment is possible also by credit card. In this case we will send
you a format of CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION that you have to fill and
send back to the fax number 0039 0522 739019.
Please note that you will have a 4% debit on your credit card for every transaction.

Cancellation fees
In case of cancellation, the cancellation fees will be as follow if the cancellation happens:
More than 60 days before departure 30 € per person
From 60 to 51 days before departure 40% of the total amount
From 50 to 30 days before departure 50% of the total amount
From 29 to 20 days before departure 60% of the total amount
From 19 to 2 days before departure 75% of the total amount
Less than 2 days before departure 100% of the total price

In case of cancellation the travel agency will keep a travel agency service fee of 50 € per dossier
and every possible cost for Travel Agency services.
