Steeped in history, art and gastronomy you cannot fail to be seduced by this land of Italian style. Visit St. Mark’s Square and cathedral crowned by the incredible Basilica di San Marco, its interiors are totally covered by golden mosaics.
Admire the magnificent Doge’s Palace, sumptuous palaces, churches, art galleries, museums, that are the testimonies to their former Byzantine, Gothic, Roman Classical and late Renaissance influences. You can hire a gondola on the Grand Canal for a truly authentic Venetian experience. The Regional Po Delta Park, is just four hours from Porto Levante’s base. Here the Po River divides into seven main branches that reach the sea amid beautiful scenery: the Isola del Bacucco, the Sacca degli Scardovari, the Busa di Scirocco, the Po di Maistra and the Isola della Batteria and the Botanical Garden of Porto Caleri. All of them are ideal places for birdwatchers and photo hunters. Old towns like Adria, and colourful fishing villages on the Po like Pila, Goro, Porto Levante, welcome visitors with their suggestive atmosphere.
